Assessment Components

  • Aerobic Capacity (METS): Cardiorespiratory Fitness (CRF) is a key indicator of how efficiently your body performs physical activity and metabolizes calories. CRF plays a critical role in weight management, functional capacity, athletic performance, and metabolic efficiency. It is also the strongest predictor of both all-cause and disease-specific mortality.

  • A submaximal cycling test using the Schwinn AirDyne Cycle is conducted to reach a predetermined heart rate. Heart rate and blood pressure are monitored throughout.

  • Body Composition: Body fat percentage is measured using the skinfold caliper method at multiple sites (thigh, triceps, subscapular, supra-iliac, and abdomen). Waist-to-hip ratio is also measured.

  • Muscular Strength/Endurance: Timed one-minute abdominal crunch/sit-up and modified push-up tests are performed.

  • Joint Range of Motion / Muscular Flexibility: Flexibility is assessed for both upper and lower body.

  • Health History: A comprehensive review of personal medical history.

  • Exercise History: Evaluation of past and current physical activity.

  • Nutrition History: Overview of dietary habits.

  • Personalized Goal Setting: Identification of specific fitness and wellness objectives.
