Jody is a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist who provides personal and post-rehabilitative exercise training, nutrition and wellness coaching, and Clinical Fitness Assessment. Her mission is to help clients navigate and determine optimal strategies for taking the best care of themselves possible.
Jody established a private medical fitness-wellness practice, Women’s Health & Support Services in 1992 where she combines the areas of nutrition, exercise, and self care, along with emotional wellness for a comprehensive and compassionate approach to long term health, wellness and fitness success. Her experience spans the domains of cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic, neuromuscular and immunologic health.
Jody received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and graduate degree from The George Washington University. She is a member of and received the Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist credential from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She is a member of the Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA), IDEA Health and Fitness Association, received the Exercise is Medicine EIM™ designation, and is a contributor to the LadyDocsCornerCafe.com website.
Jody offers both individual and group consultation. She is the creator of the trademarked wellness and weight loss program, Change Your Mind Change Your Body®, which she offers and presents to small groups, corporate clients, and abroad for Rancho La Puerta Spa and Resort and Sensory Adventures Adventure and Wellness Travel.
Women’s Health & Support Services is a Medical-Fitness practice specializing in programs to meet the unique needs of women including those with health concerns such as allergies, arthritis, cancer, chronic pain, depression, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, infertility, metabolic syndrome, obesity, osteoporosis, pregnancy, and premenstrual syndrome.
Post rehabilitative exercise programs are offered as a continuation of physical therapy or cardiac rehabilitation. Coordination with your medical team maximize recovery and return to optimal physical functioning and performance.
Aerobic, strength and flexibility programs are prescribed to promote fitness and optimal health.
Dietary education, behavior modification and healthy eating interventions are offered to optimize health, promote weight loss, and/or enhance athletic performance.
Personal patterns are identified and strategies for stress reduction and healthy lifestyle habits are established.
Achieve a healthy body weight and promote sustainability with exercise, healthy eating and wellness strategies in both individual and group formats.
