Jody received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and graduate degree from The George Washington University. She was instrumental in the creation of The Women's Exercise Research Center at GWU where she completed her graduate research.
Jody established her private practice, Women's Health & Support Services in 1992. Her clinical experience spans the domains of cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic, neuromuscular and immunologic health. She provides exercise assessment, prescription, supervision and training, and counseling and education.
Jody received the American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist credential in 2007. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA), and IDEA Health and Fitness Association.
Jody is an advocate for childhood wellness and fitness, and is a current Board member for Infinity Wellness Foundation (IWF), an organization dedicated to reducing the growing epidemic of childhood obesity and empowering today’s children with self-confidence, practical skills and knowledge.
Women's Health & Support Services specializes in programs to meet the unique needs of women including those with medical concerns such as allergies, arthritis, cancer, chronic pain, depression, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, infertility, metabolic syndrome, obesity, osteoporosis, pregnancy, and premenstrual syndrome.
Post rehabilitative exercise programs are offered as a continuation of physical therapy or cardiac rehabilitation. Coordination with your medical team maximize recovery and return to optimal physical functioning and performance.
Aerobic, strength and flexibility programs are prescribed to promote fitness, disease prevention and optimal health.
Education, behavior modification and healthy eating interventions are offered to optimize health and/or enhance athletic performance.
Strategies for stress reduction and personal balance are identified and healthy lifestyle habits are established.
Achieve a healthy body weight – weight loss, weight gain or weight maintenance – via exercise, calorie balance, and wellness strategies in both individual and group formats.
